hi everytime i try to install a software with yast, i wait, wait.... after 30 minutes, nothing happen

That is sort of little information. What version do you use? Anyway, at this moment you should try to use y2pmsh (if not installed try to install using rpm -i packagename.rpm) Yast, rug and all the others are a bit broken at the moment. (you can use rug also: http://en.opensuse.org/Factory_via_rug) but that takes a long time and if you add the services it looks like rug hangs but it just takes a looooooong time. Azerion

As a side note: In HP-UX maching existing software with available updates took over 40 minutes on a typical machine. After years (really) I posted to the newsgroup that I cannot really understand why it takes so long. After a few relases, the same process only took a few seconds. Now for SuSE: The complaining was done already, now waiting for the fix... ;-) Regards, Ulrich
