When I was using openSUSE 11.3 with KDE 4.5. I was able to see the date last used next to eth0.

In openSUSE 11.4 KDE 4.6 - next to eth0 it now shows "Never". It should show the last date used.

Navigate to Configure Desktop --> Network Settings Network Connections --> Wired

This tab is inactive for me.

If you are using traditional networking control (ifup), network manager will be disabled. The tab is also inactive when it's set to use preset proxy environment variables.
