I'd like to propose dropping the greeter dialog. If it's too late for 11.0, then at least for 11.1. I consider it to be just a nag screen similar to the welcome page in Windows 95(?) that nobody actually reads and it just gets in the way.

I'd like to say +1, but at the very least, it only shows up once. It's not like a recurring pop-up that requires some knob to be flipped in order to disable it.
I don't know that I've ever read the greeter, personally, but it only bothers you just once.

Bad reply. Should've sent it to the list. -- Christopher M.
