[opensuse-factory] Libreoffice 4 Tumbleweed - stuck on 3.6
Hi folks, I apologise if this is a well known issue. I did try searching for this but haven't unearthed anything. Yesterday i switched repos to Tumbleweed and "zypper dup"ed. I had expected to get Libreoffice 4 by doing this, but i found i am still on 3.6. I notice on OBS that there is indeed LO4 successfully built for Tumbleweed, but i can't tell if it is in the main TW repos. Its certainly not the end of the world for me if i don't get LO4. linux-cuq3:/home/trentos # zypper ref Repository 'Packman Tumbleweed' is up to date. Repository 'openSUSE Current non-oss' is up to date. Repository 'openSUSE non-oss Current updates' is up to date. Repository 'openSUSE Current oss' is up to date. Repository 'openSUSE Current updates' is up to date. Repository 'openSUSE Tumbleweed' is up to date. All repositories have been refreshed. linux-cuq3:/home/trentos # zypper up libreoffice Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... No update candidate for 'libreoffice-3.6.3.2.4-2.4.1.x86_64'. The highest available version is already installed. Resolving package dependencies... Nothing to do. Libreoffice 4 is built for Tumbleweed but in a separate repo: zypper ar -r http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/Stable/openSUSE_Tumbl... I am running libreoffice-4.0.3.3.5-2.9.x86_64 have noticed no problem. note, you takes you own chances using extra repos -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

There is also an openSUSE:Tumbleweed:Libreoffice repo, which is what I have been using for Libreoffice updates for "official" Tumbleweed updates. I split it into a separate repo for the build time issue, you really don't want Libreoffice keeping the rest of Tumbleweed from being able to be updated, otherwise it will almost never get finished building.
