As far as I can tell, the feature is neither stable nor mature but kactivities4 pulls in some additional dependencies. We had that discussion before (where it belongs, on opensuse-kde ml) and the general consensus was that a lot of KDE users do use activities. Will started an effort to make a "tiny KDE", but I'm not sure were it is.

I agree. I've also been using it for presentations. The activities feature allows users to quickly switch from one type of work profile to another without having to create another user. I think those look like something off the front of a 70s Color TV, but each to his own. The concept behind the 12.3 KDE branding is that all the non-application icons on the panel are monochrome, except for the SUSE logo on the app launcher. I am not in 12.3 at the moment (nor can get to it because of a glitch with grub2), so what did you end up with when you changed the desktop theme - did you get the previous coloured balls or what? And to which DE did you change?
