[opensuse-factory] Status: Distribution
Hi, We still have issues that need to be sorted out before I want to release Milestone 1: - network installations do not work without major annoyance due to changed checksum format - live cds won't boot I hope we can get them in today though. Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Ok, live cds are in and hopefully the checksums are fine too - unfortunately while I wasn't watching someone moved cpio to /usr without fixing installation-images, which only packaged the now dangling symlink. So installations are still broken ;( Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Sorry that was me, but there shouldn't have been any dangling symlinks. If you point me in the right direction I'll fix it. Check the installation-images package - it uses hardcoded pathes ;-( Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger aj@{suse.com,opensuse.org} Twitter/Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn,Jennifer Guild,Felix Imendörffer,HRB16746 (AG Nürnberg) GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

But shouldn't it try to deference link when creating image (this would fix this kind of issue) ? -- Frederic Crozat <fcrozat@suse.com> SUSE -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

It would also duplicate shared libraries in big fashion. It is supposed to catch dangling symlinks when building, but somehow the check is broken. It would also duplicate shared libraries in big fashion. Indeed. Not sure running fdupes would help..
