Tumbleweed snapshot 20210108 -- akonadi issues
Hi, I was hit by this as well. From googling around¹²³, it seems like it was caused by mariadb being updated and this somehow wasn't handled gracefully by akonadi/the update process. I never manually chose mariadb as the akonadi backend. Apparently the fix would've been to downgrade mariadb, upgrade the db, then upgrade mariadb. Removing the ~/.local/share/akonadi fixed it, but of course I lost the contents. Hi, I had a similar problem before under Arch Linux. (This is likely not a distribution-specific issue.) I could fix it by migrating the database manually, see https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/63025#comment180073 However, I haven't run into any problems recently (using the latest TW snapshot). Note that the MariaDB backend seems to be upstream's default choice; at least all distributions I've came across so far use it as default. Best Regards Marius
