I guess that this message fits better to factory mail list. ---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Subject: Re: [opensuse-project] User installation choices/settings Date: Friday 13 March 2009 From: manchette <manchette@free.fr> To: opensuse-project@opensuse.org Hello all, i know there's been some work to improve the disk partionner during the install process, i tend to think the main goal was to simplify the whole install process with a unified application. Well, i got the opposite feeling for the screen was not refreshed immediately st of all (how come ?). And most of all for the text was not available entirely on the screen in my language (french). So you had to scroll a lot the screen to see what options you'd be able to implement on your hdds. Not only disturbing this could produce damage to a system if no serious caution taken. This was giving a feeling exactly opposite to the one looked for. Too bad. -- Fabrice ------------------------------------------------------- -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Hello all,

Yes, it belongs here, and i gree at some point, that it has become more inconvenient to use, more moves have to be made, switching back and forth, and it has become more complicated to use. I also think that it was not the intention of doing so. I have evaluated the partitioner also see: [opensuse-factory] Fw: Evaluation Partitioner/Grub. -- Enjoy your time around, Oddball, aka M9. I checked that machette is present on the target list, forwarded question, and mailed off list what I did. Suggesting to move would be OK, if I'm not interested in topic, with the same disadvantages as forwarding. User might not be on the target list and decide to drop the discussion, which i didn't want to happen. The bad is that I have no computer that I can run with Factory, and current NET-install iso quits before I can see anything in a VirtualBox-OSE, but this is off topic too. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
