i had only gcc42-fortran, (and 41), but that was not sufficient..

I am going to try and install libdvdcss now, and see if it does allright now, with gfortran. If it does there is no need to go back ;-) (watching dvd's is a great hobby of mine, and if nessesary i will install compat 77 just for that ;-)

This seems to me more an error of that libdvdcss package. Perhaps you could test wether it compiles on another distro version. Or you can try to make some other package. I think gcc is running above, but doesn't find the "ac_nonexistent.h" - which I think it is correct, the name implies it is meant to not exist. This seems to me more an error of that libdvdcss package. Perhaps you could test wether it compiles on another distro version. Or you can try to make some other package.
I think gcc is running above, but doesn't find the "ac_nonexistent.h" - which I think it is correct, the name implies it is meant to not exist. But somehow that is interpreted to mean that gcc does not exist?

I reckon it's the gcc-fortran packages that are missing. libdvdcss-1.2.9 built here on x86 and x86_64 without any problems on all openSUSE's right up to 10.3 Beta3. Regards Sid.

I have this package installed from 9.3, or was it 10.? It works even now on 10.2...
