The GNOME:Cinnamon project is currently rebuilding and there's a cinnamon.ymp installer also.

So, will this remain a user supported add on/extra like KDE3? or will it morph into an official package come 12.2?

The main objective is for it to come on 12.2, but there's a few things to polish first. NM

Greg, It would rock to have it also available on Tumbleweed, I was waiting to have the submissions accepted on oS:Factory before I could ping you... Yeah I know Tumbleweed's basic rule: "Must be in Factory first" (not ipsis verbis, I don't recall the original form).
