[opensuse-factory] Bug in clock application...
There's a bug in the clock application, I've noticed, for the GNOME system (I like GNOME, KDE doesn't really tickle my fancy) ... at any rate ... it doesn't let me add more than 3 locations ... I want five locations on that screen... So far, I've got Tampa, where I live, then I have London and Chiang Mai Thailand. I want to add Honolulu and Tucson, Arizona... but I can't add any more than 3. Is this a compiled-in limitation? Does anyone else know of this bug? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I currently have 5 locations including Sydney AU, Bangalore IN, London EN, NYC US, and Chicago US. Seems to be fine so far. I just can't get it to do that for me. I've tried everything including reverting to 24 hour time... still I can't have more than 3. I'm going to go hunt for the configuration file, now. I've tried everything. But I've noticed there's another bug in that if you set the thing to use a 12 hour clock, until the minute changes when the display is up, it shows the time in 24 hour time for all locations, and then the window distorts a little and exceeds the screen edge.

First time I hear of this issue. Can you also reproduce with another user on the same system?

FWIW, it's in gconf: /apps/panel/applets/clock_screen0/prefs/cities where clock_screen0 can be something different for you.

Looks like http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=529991 Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
When I went into the gconf editor, and I manually added the 4th one, then I was able to add the 5th one with no problem. The time-stamp bug still applies, but I've got 5 set up, now... --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
Ah... I think I see, openSuse 11.0 ships with gnome-panel 2.22.1 ... the latest batch of bug-fixes deals specifically with the clock (in addition to other things) 2.22.2... I checked build services, I suppose they haven't gotten around to upgrading that, just yet. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Most (if not all) of the clock fixes in gnome-panel > 2.22.1 are in our package via a big patch (couldn't submit the latest version because of the version freeze) Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
