commit ML & Factory/Beta
Evening folks, Do packages that appear on the commit ML make their way into the factory master repo at commit time or is there a further stage? If this is the case I presume then it's preferable ( from you dev's point of view ) for people using beta(9) to update beta packages from the beta release to the updated factory ones? cheers the noo, Graham

After the mail they are build and pushed to factory. This might take minutes -> hours depending on how large the package is or how loaded our buildsystem is currently. Ciao, Marcus

Ok so that's just a matter of patience until it trickles through the mirrors then. Is it then preferable if beta users update their packages to the updated factory ones?

Note that after a release, I freeze factory until the next monday, so factory currently contains the clean "beta9" state. I'm unfreezing factory now, so we'll have a larger update during the next 24 hours.

And we only sync out once a day. So, worst case is two days after checkin, the package should be on our server, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
