[opensuse-factory] Firefox 15
Hi! I want to rise the issue about stability of Firefox 15. For me it crashges every time upon exit. Reversal to Firefox 14 fixes the issue. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Others have reported 15 only does this in 12.1: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=778351 -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Yes. On my 11.4 system it does not crash. Only on 12.1 system. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
Try opening it in safe mode from the command line:
$ firefox -safe-mode
You might find a plugin that's not behaving and you can disable it.
I've had plugin issues with almost every Firefox update and had to do
this. The worst offender is the GNOME 3 "tracker" add-on, but there
are others.

This happens even with all plugins and extensions disabled. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Since the last comment of that bug shows the solution I wrote an SDB article: http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Firefox_15_crashes_on_exit Please add the version if it applies to others. -- Bye, Stephan Barth SUSE Technical Services - SUSE LINUX GmbH GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer HRB 21284 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, D-90409 Nuremberg Register at suse.com/susecon - Follow us at twitter.com/susecon12 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
