Hello from a future contributer :)
Hello all I'll apologize up front for casting such a large email net. I am a long time suse user ... like since the late 1990's. SuSE and/or openSUSE has been the os on my "work" computer since since 2000 or 2001, when it replaced Solaris (aka Slowaris on x86, though I never found it to be slow). About this time last year I replaced Leap with Debian 12 because I mistakenly thought Leap was going away. Debian is a great OS, but I really missed Leap. Anyway, the hiatus has motivated me to contribute. I am especially interested in gnome and Leap 16; I know it's a bit early yet and I still don't understand what alp is :). Although I could not write a C program any more complicated than "hello word" to save my life, I have surprised myself numerous times over the years successfully hacking broken code into working. I should also mention that I worked as a build and release engineer for about a decade. In that role I became fairly adept with perl, bash, etc. If there is a list of packages in search of maintainers, please point the way. I'm also willing to write documentation. Cheers, ox (aka Charles Wight)
