My personal opinion (no one asked but)... Should we actually be promoting btrfs with all the controversy around the 'btrfsfsck' that no has seen and give the visibility many give it, if a user runs into filesystem problems, data will almost for sure lost, since the procedures (considering the user has extensive knowledge on btrfs) are somehow tricky to recover it (when it's possible) ? I mean... Should we really be concerned with a YaST module for a filesystem that is somehow suspicious? NM 2011/10/24 Manu Gupta <manugupt1@gmail.com>:

And how does this differ from other filesystems that does have a fsck? Just by virtue of having a fsck tool, does not guarantee that it will be able to recover from problems happening in any way.
