wine issue after update (window not opening correctly)
Hi, since a few weeks - unfortunately I don't know exactly since when or which wine version (assuming it really is caused by wine) introduced it - I have an issue with running a rather small windows application. It's the only one I'm using via wine so cannot compare to others. I'm running Tumbleweed with wine 6.11 at the moment. The application I'm using is called "winbox" and is Mikrotik's RouterOS configuration interface. It first opens a window to select the actual device to configure and that works as before but once I try to connect to a device it is supposed to open a new window which does not happen though. Since I'm rather clueless about how to debug wine and what is relevant and so on I do not have better information right now. So trying here to get some feedback what to check, how to debug if it's really the wine version. Anything I can try and so? Wolfgang
Hi wolfgang, i running also wine for a small propetrary software. its a verry old software. it used some sort of 3d grapics for a small window, drawing a "pipe". on raspberry py i got it only running with a opengl32.dll from verry old computer (it makes all at the main processor not on gpu) (of course first emulate a x86) up to january i was with, tumbleweed and my amd graphic card able to start this application without problems on my desktop computer. now after this month update tumbleweed (have not updated since january) i am not able to start it at all. have not investigated until now. maybe you have also a graphic problem. the same software did calculate a checksum for the computer to insert a licence code. since 3 years this code has not changed.
