Hi fellow tumbleweed users.
After having upgraded to the latest snapshot, my tumbleweed virtual machine again fails to light up display. According to system journal, vboxadd service failed with error “/var/lib/VBoxGuestAditions/config not found”, and it does not help to reinstall guest addon packages.
Does anyone have a remedy?
Kind regards,
Howard
Switch the display manager from sddm to lightdm. /etc/sysconfif/displaymanager DISPLAYMANAGER=”lightdm” Roman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

/etc/sysconfif/displaymanager
DISPLAYMANAGER=”lightdm”
The problem of VirtualBox video drivers not working in virtual guests arises because newer versions of Xorg do not run as root. The issue has been fixed by Oracle and published as V5.0.17. I am waiting for 5.0.16 to propagate through the system before preparing and pushing the new version. I am still waiting for 5.0.16 to reach Leap 42.1, and will send the new version as soon as that happens.
