If the plug is not present, the network is down. If the globe is closed, the plug dissappeares along with it.. i did not restart twice yet, to see if only the globe starts-up. And i do not know if there only has to be one applet, and that the plug is a residue from a previous install? Yast functions allright, debs can be solved. Had to drop thunderbird, but it could be reinstalled afterwards without any problem. I hope the functions yast usualy had will return in later A/B versions..
