Not really, I prefer a stable system and if possible the latest digikam and darktable versions. It was announced, and wolfi323 the only repo who had it.

5.2.0 is in KDE:Extra, that's where my repo (home:wolfi323:branches:KDE:Frameworks5) gets it from. Hint: the official package is called digikam, not digikam5. ;-) It has been submitted to Factory too yesterday, but will only appear in Tumbleweed once it went through staging and review. Currently Tumbleweed still has 4.14.0, see the recent discussion thread on this very list. My repo basically is (should be) stable, but the files are installed to /opt/kf5/ instead of /usr/, so you cannot just take single packages from my repo and expect them to work. If you install digikam 5.2.0 from KDE:Extra, nothing else is needed. I was talking about digikam5 from my repo, which won't work on "normal" systems. The main point of my repo is to have both versions installed at the same time, 4.x and 5.x. Actually, just installing digikam5 should work too (I cannot guarantee it though), but your system won't see the menu entry because it is installed to /opt/kf5/. There would be ways to fix that, but if you are only interested in digikam 5.x, better install the "official" version from KDE:Extra. And that's exactly one of the reasons why we didn't submit 5.x to Factory/Tumbleweed earlier. It doesn't migrate/use the settings from the old version. Current versions should at least show you a dialog on first start about this fact and tell you what to do. Actually, it should work to just copy ~/.kde4/share/config/digikamrc to ~/.config/. But there have been some bug reports about problems with that too, and that's why digikam 5.x doesn't do it automatically AFAIK. 0.25 in the version I know neither worked in opensuse 13.2 nor in Leap 42.1 The problem ist described in: https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=964344 Christian Boltz 2016-05-05 12:10:25 UTC Comment 4 provided a patch for me for suse 13.2 in a temporary repo and your version works as well for me in the present tumbleweed. According to that bug report, Christian Boltz submitted the patch to the devel project, and it has been forwarded to Factory/Tumbleweed: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/396741 But apparently nobody bothered to submit an update for Leap 42.1... provided a patch for me for suse 13.2 in a temporary repo and your version works as well for me in the present tumbleweed.
According to that bug report, Christian Boltz submitted the patch to the devel project, and it has been forwarded to Factory/Tumbleweed: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/396741
But apparently nobody bothered to submit an update for Leap 42.1... As you are using Tumbleweed, you should have no need to use my "unstable" version, better install the one from the main repos.
I definitely will try that. cu Peter -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I tried it. Works. This issue "bites the dust". Thanks cu Peter -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
