[opensuse-factory] update to factory package error
In the process of updating to factory (using zypper dup, first time doing this on test machine), what should I do when I encounter the following type of error? [package] fails integrity check In this case it is bundle-lang-kde-en-11.0-23 -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Usually it means: try again :) The package and its metadata are out of sync Greetings, Stephan --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Did that twice with the same error, finally chose ignore.
The package and its metadata are out of sync
Greetings, Stephan
Thanks. One other question regarding factory, would it be possible notify this list when factory is going to be updated so that people will know when to/not to update their systems? -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Factory is updated by cron jobs. You can upgrade your system by cron jobs too and zypper will know when there is nothing to do :) Greetings, Stephan --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Just a note, it is actually not a cron job, the distribution gets pushed when it build in a kind of consistent state immediatly. Therefore, the updates come as soon as possible, but not regulary. bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) email: adrian@suse.de --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
