Yes, I am using the synaptics driver.
Post the relevant part of xorg.conf.
See below. That's the xorg.conf file generated by SaX.

Yes, I am using the synaptics driver.
Section "InputDevice" Driver "synaptics" Identifier "Mouse[1]" Option "AccelFactor" "0.1" EndSection
Section "InputDevice" Driver "synaptics" Identifier "Mouse[3]" Option "AccelFactor" "0.1"
Option "FingerHigh" "17" Option "FingerLow" "14" EndSection play a little with "AccelFactor", "FingerHigh", "FingerLow" there is a ksynaptics too.
But why do you have two tocuhpad sections in Xorg.conf? Was this generated by Sax2? Then file a bug, two tochpads do not seem right ... HTH Felix Möller -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Mine is also an Alps....I'd just like to find a way to turn the sucker off!!! Fred -- "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. 'Not here. I get the error: Can't access shared memory area. SHMConfig disabled? I have the Alps touchpad turned off in sax2, and my Logitech wireless turn on, but the touchpad just won't "go away!" THANK YOU!!! I have always wanted a way to do this to keep the cursor from jumping 1/2 page in some direction due to an accidental brushing of the touchpad with the palm of my thumb. It had just never bubbled up as a priority for me to track down. It works just great: syndaemon -d -p /var/run/dcr/syndaemon.pid -K Thanks again Felix! -- David C.
