"Switched to Upstart for init system" - is that correct? My M6 test system seems to be running sysvinit. (just curious - my gut feeling is that this is such a major change that it ought to wait for 12.0.)

this looks like a perfect basis to create an 11.3 page similar to the 11.2 page [3] we had. Thanks to Martin starting this page.

It's a good start but I'd suggest some shorter URL. How about something like 11.3-Highlights or 11.3/highlights (if we can have structure) or something?

I just decided to follow the existing scheme as such a page existed for 11.2 too. And as michl said it can serve as a basis for /OpenSUSE_11.3 which is easier to remember.
