[opensuse-factory] 12.2 milestone 1

So given the uncertain status of the release of 12.2 milestone 2 would it be the right thing to install milestone 1 if I want to contribute to testing? No... the idea is to stay current with the development, and report issues on that version. The old one may already have been corrected. If you can not install the current version for something, you should report that issue, and then wait for the next version. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. Very good then I'll wait. I have installed a fifth hard drive in my secondary machine for testing the candidate for the next release. -- ____________ Steven L Hess ARS KC6KGE DM05gd22 Skype user flamebait Cell 661 487 0357 (Facetime) Google Voice 661 769 6201 openSUSE Linux 12.1 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I upgraded 2 boxes to 12.2 Milestone 2. I made the change to the NVidia driver kernel/conftest.sh on the box with the NVidia card, built the module and rebooted. No problems experienced so far. I also but with an "ATI Radeon XPRESS 200 5954 (PCIE)". Only problem reported earlier here with wireless. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

OK. My problem with wireless is with the TalkTalk router that only responds for seconds after power off/on. Power up a spare Sky router here and it connects. One warning on the Asus Sabertooth 990 FX motherboard, it seems the BIOS only supports Windows. With an Asus Motherboard and an Asus 560 Ti video card it's detected as a radeon so it will not work as a radeon or nvidia. Only the vesa driver works. I have quite a moan about in in the Customer Support Survey the sent me. Whether that will do any good is anyone's guess. They probably can hire only one dimensional developers these days. Probably should be a separate topic. Regards Sid. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
