[opensuse-factory] Windows freezing in M2
I have windows freezing periodically in M2 GNOME i686. The mouse is still active, but I can't move or switch windows for five minutes or so. The clock stops, too. It's happened several times in the yast software manager, but it's not limited to that. I can be casually surfing in Firefox and see the same thing. I don't see anything interesting in the .xsession-errors, but I'm attaching that if anyone wants to peruse it. Any guesses what's going on? Specs: 3GB RAM and an AMD64 3800 2.0GHz, GeForce 6150 LE. The nouveau driver isn't totally reliable with every chip it supports. If it is what your 6150 is using, see if anything in this thread helps: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2013-07/msg00089.html Either way, it might be worth enabling repositories/X11:/XOrg/openSUSE_Factory to see if it stops of its own accord in a newer point version of server or driver. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
