[opensuse-factory] Wiki entry on Wagon (ie. zypper dup gui)

All, I've been trying to edit the 11.2 Upgrade pages on the wiki. I came across <http://en.opensuse.org/Wagon> which had no content at all. I've added some, but I guessed at much of the overview because I don't know the background. Since Wagon (yast2 wagon) will likely be used heavily in OpenSUSE in the 11.2 rollout, I hope someone can review and correct what I did. fyi: my one and only attempt actually upgrade a 11.1 system to 11.2 RC2 ended with a segfault and now yast won't run. I'll have to troubleshoot my system a few days from now, but it would be good to get more testing of the Upgrade via wagon before the release. Is wagon a supported upgrade method with this release? Yes. So please report any problems you encounter. Duncan, I put in Bugzilla on Friday as a 11.1 issue, so the screening team may not have picked it up. See <https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=551613> If I file other bugzillas against the wagon or zypper dup upgrade from 11.1 to 11.2 should I tag them as 11.1 bugs or 11.2 bugs? By trial and error I determined Wagon does not adjust / manage the repos, so I updated the wiki page to reflect that. http://en.opensuse.org/Wagon But once you use yast to set the repositories correctly, do you have to update the yast2-wagon package from the 11.2 repository prior to running it? If so, doing that from the gui menu would also refresh the repo cache. AFAIK, you can change it to 11.2 if required. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
