[opensuse-factory] First milestone release
Hi, I wanted to release a first milestone before easter, but unfortunately I found 2 blocking issues while pretesting the DVDs and the live cds have a very poor performance at the moment, so I withdraw this idea. Next chance to release a milestone is the week after easter week - e.g. april 23rd. It would be cool if more people could test factory installation and live cds and file bug reports, so the first milestone is good enough. The end of april is basically the last chance to release a first milestone: http://ktown.kde.org/~coolo/opensuse_release/ Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I believe there's still a blocker (for me, anyway) on my end (bug #483424) but I'll see what I can do. Two comments, 1) I really like that release calendar (had nothing to do with anything, but just wanted to say it ;-) ) 2) So the 'Alpha' & 'Beta' terminology is officially dead with regards to openSUSE, right? -- Kevin "Yeaux" Dupuy openSUSE Member www.twitter.com/KevinDupuy -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

That's my recommendation. If there is too much confusion I may go back though. Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I just run factory ON VirtualBox At first, X didn't start, or bette said crashes when loading kde4. But I could key "1" at the boot menu, open a root console, init 3, then zypper up. Now all works like a charm... jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.org http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-eic8MSSfM http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1412160445 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Lucky guy..;) I just tried for the second time to install from a net.iso. I formatted before inserting install cd, and before installation. My screen went black with the monitor test (again) before first login, (unfinished install), and there all stopped, same as the first time.... So for me there was no option to update... This way i am not able to figure out what is wrong here... (on eee-pc-901) -- Have a nice day ;) Oddball aka M9.
