Are you sure it didn't just move? I don't think we updated udev to the new version which moves vol_id into udev itself, but note, you really shouldn't be relying on that program to be there at all, it's an internal udev tool only. thanks, greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

OK, but the Error messages are not fine ;) I found now (google) "vol_id" is dropped and the correct thing is now "blkid" but this is only working with newer initramfs-tools ? Error messages from what tool? udev should not be creating them, what is?

I don't know, again, what tool is depending on vol_id outside of udev? greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

That's initramfs, not udev.
Why is the Kernel Log not longer present ? in this Log I found my boot Problems ?
I have no idea what you are referring to. greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I can confirm this. For quite some time now there are no new bootlogs created in /var/log anymore. Time stamps of my last logfiles are 09-19-2011 boot.log 09-29-2011 boot.msg 09-19-2011 boot.omsg Andreas -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
