Call for Testing Next Generation Installer

Hi all, I wanted to bring your attention to an article I just posted about the next generation installer. The team is looking to have people test out the images. There is a guide to walk you through it should you be interested in testing it. https://news.opensuse.org/2022/10/27/call-for-testing-next-gen-installer/ v/r Doug

Does that new installer have a name yet? If not, i would propose Jaguar... since that is one of the few natural enemies of the anaconda... I booted it, but couldn't do anything not involving wasting everything already installed on the NVME, and it didn't seem able to even show me the HDD RAID, or anything about what's on the partitions it proposed to delete. There's no apparent way to login on a vtty to try to see what there is to see in logs either. Insufficient contrast, gray skinny text on off-white background, except for blacker and large on headings and deletes. It ignored the linuxrc-style static network configuration I gave it and used DHCP instead. Likewise it ignored the XVideo graphics mode I gave it. The YaST net installer attracted me to SUSE in the first place close to two decades ago. It's still the best Linux^H^H^H^H^H /installer/ I've ever used. The Google spreadsheet wants a phone number to login. It's not getting one from me. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science. Team OS/2 ** Reg.
