[opensuse-factory] Bluetooth scan fails on OpenSuse Tumbleweed
Hello All: After a fresh install of OpenSuse Tumblweed my bluetooth scanning is failing, I can't pair a mouse that used to work with the same hardware. Could the following message in the system journal be a clue? Oct 31 22:51:29 localhost.localdomain kernel: Bluetooth: Failed to disable LE scan: status 0x0c Could this somehow be related to https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=230366? In my case I've got an internal bluetooth device (I think built into my Intel 8265/8275 Network controller). Please find below the output of cat /etc/os-release, lspci and the Bluetooth messages in the system journal. My release is: cat /etc/os-release NAME="openSUSE Tumbleweed" # VERSION="20171030" ID=opensuse ID_LIKE="suse" VERSION_ID="20171030" PRETTY_NAME="openSUSE Tumbleweed" ANSI_COLOR="0;32" CPE_NAME="cpe:/o:opensuse:tumbleweed:20171030" BUG_REPORT_URL="https://bugs.opensuse.org" HOME_URL="https://www.opensuse.org/" /sbin/lspci 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Device 5914 (rev 08) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Device 5917 (rev 07) 00:04.0 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v5/E3-1500 v5/6th Gen Core Processor Thermal Subsystem (rev 08) 00:13.0 Non-VGA unclassified device: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP Integrated Sensor Hub (rev 21) 00:14.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP USB 3.0 xHCI Controller (rev 21) 00:14.2 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP Thermal subsystem (rev 21) 00:15.0 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP Serial IO I2C Controller #0 (rev 21) 00:16.0 Communication controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP CSME HECI #1 (rev 21) 00:1c.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP PCI Express Root Port #1 (rev f1) 00:1c.4 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP PCI Express Root Port #5 (rev f1) 00:1c.6 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP PCI Express Root Port #7 (rev f1) 00:1c.7 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP PCI Express Root Port #8 (rev f1) 00:1d.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP PCI Express Root Port #9 (rev f1) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation Device 9d4e (rev 21) 00:1f.2 Memory controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP PMC (rev 21) 00:1f.3 Audio device: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP HD Audio (rev 21) 00:1f.4 SMBus: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP SMBus (rev 21) 01:00.0 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation GP108M [GeForce MX150] (rev a1) 3b:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wireless 8265 / 8275 (rev 78) 3c:00.0 Unassigned class [ff00]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. It could be the kernel. I recommend that you update to latest release of Tumbleweed and then run "dmesg". -- Cheers! Roman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
