[opensuse-factory] SPAM: JFS is back as an install-time filesystem - thank you!
I haven't noticed anything official on this, but I've just seen JFS pop up as an install-time filesystem - cool! Thanks guys - it is much appreciated. /Per Jessen, Zürich --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I am sorry to disappoint you, but this must be a bug. You're almost right :) We don't officially support JFS in our distribution but one can still select JFS as a file system. If you select it a big pop-up window says that we do neither support it not test it and if there are problems, we will not be able to help... Let me just state officially: This is exactly our position. So, you can use it - but don't file bugs in our bugzilla ;-) Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
FYI, I _did_ select it and nothing popped up. I'm curious, what is the reasoning behind including JFS again? Andreas Jaeger wrote:

Which of course I already did one or two days ago ... jfs_tune is missing from the installation system. I guess you can ignore that. /Per Jessen, Zürich --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
