[opensuse-factory] Getting Wrong Letter when Typing Certain Keyboard Button on (CLI) Terminal
Hi List mates, I'm running openSUSE 11.4 M2 (?) (I did 'zypper dup' from 11.3, KDE4-LiveCD-x86_64). Overall there is no big problem in GUI, but CLI. I can not login to (CLI) terminal because when I type (from keyboard button): root , the letters appear (in LCD monitor): r66t . I investigate it, and find they are other letters that go wrong when typing certain keyboard buttons: "0" change to "/" "u" change to "4" "i" change to "5" "o" change to "6" "p" change to "*" "j" change to "1" "k" change to "2" "l" change to "3" ";" change to "-" "/" change to "+" and i can see in keyboard button that the "wrong letter' is an optional character when pressing it together with Fn-key. So for example, when i type: Fn+o it "should" get 6, but it is also failed both on GUI and CLI. In opeSUSE 11.3, I did not investigate it deeper yet, but at least i can login to (CLI) terminal without problem. Should i file a bug? My computer is ASUS EEEPC 1201T. $ cat /etc/SuSE-release openSUSE 11.4 Milestone 3 of 6 (x86_64) VERSION = 11.4 CODENAME = Celadon Thanks in advance. Best regards, -- Andi Sugandi. Turn off Num-Lock. Typically on EEE's it's Fn+Insert to turn on/off Num Lock C. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
