[opensuse-factory] Strange yast2-qt-pkg behaviour
Hi, I'm experiencing a strange problem with yast2 qt software management. If I click the X on the title bar to close after selecting a package for installation and then click cancel on the message box asking if I want to abandon all changes, instead of returning to yast the window exits but the process y2base sw_single qt stays running and I have to kill it before I can run zypper or yast again. I first found this behavior in yast2-qt-pkg-2.16.37 from build service but after downgrading to factory the problem persists. Has anybody else experienced this problem? I created https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=382202 but they say they can't reproduce the problem, so I just wondered if anybody else can. regards Dave P --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I first saw the problem when I tried to start zypper after leaving yast and the pid from zypper showed me it was y2base. I see your bug is marked as resolved as well. Do you have the same problem with yast2 qt? I reported the bug as being in factory but the assignee said he was only interested in beta1. I wonder why they are sweeping it under the carpet all they have to say is we are working on it. I update quite a lot. I stopped now for an amarok dep, libgpod.so2 (64bit) there's no engine now :( Beta 1 is a snapshot, as A2, and 3. I am beta1 factory again. To me is said, there won't be fixing of snapshots, which i can understand. I noticed that behaviour only once, with zypper. I did not notice it with Yast2...yet. -- Enjoy your time around, Oddball (Now or never...)
