Duncan --------------------------------------------------------------------- I cannot either update libzypp or satsolver-tools. Libzypp-5.9.0-2 wants satsolver-tools-0.10.10 and factory has had 0.10.11 since my first email. If I select satsolver-tools yast and zypper want to uninstall my whole installation system. Last time I checked 32 bit and 64 bit contained the same versions. Regards Dave P

While I'm on the subject a webpin search comes up with satsolver-tools-0.10.10 for some reason. Since I have Factory on several boxes, I'm not adverse to doing a little experimenting now & then. On 2 of them I did rpm -Uvh --nodeps satsolver-tools-0.10.11-2.i586.rpm and the latest zypper & libzypp, and got zypper ref & zypper dup to work, after creating /etc/products.d. Icons are missing from YaST2, but everything else I tried seems to work. -- "Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain." Psalm 127:1 NIV Team OS/2 ** Reg. Tried the same tack for x86_64 and zypper dup is working. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
