[opensuse-factory] NTP 4.2.5 w/ --enable-ntp-signd
Is anyone working on or aware of current NTP packages for openSUSE? I'm working on setting up a Samba 4 AD domain on openSUSE and NTP 4.2.5 or later is required compiled with the --enable-ntp-signd option. https://support.ntp.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=1028 I've searched high and low and not been able to find anymore more recent than 4.2.4p8 and without the required options to server W32 time in an AD domain. http://www.ntp.org/downloads.html Rumor is that the latest Ubuntu ships a compatible package; I haven't checked that out yet. BTW, Bind 9.7.2 built --with-gssapi is also required for Samba4 & AD client dynamic updates. I've hacked together a package for that [which seems to be working] <https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=home%3Awhitemice% 3Asamba4> The bind in openSUSE 11.3 doesn't have --with-gssapi. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Fill bug reports if there isnt one already, so it gets fixed. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=657194 I'm not sure if it is appropriately categorized; I've not filed a general packaging bug before. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

More important is assigning it to the right person. It speeds up
things considerably if you do it right away and is easy for anyone
with an opensuse account. First do
osc meta pkg openSUSE:Factory/<package>
which will give you the name of the devel project for a given package.
With that then do 'osc maintainer -e
