[opensuse-factory] The openSUSE 13.2 distro is using way too much black
Hello List Mates, Of all the shades... not to mention colors. Why has openSUSE chosen black for the installer, bootsplash, kdm theme and wallpaper? There are other shades that you can use to accent the inner frame and buttons. What about some color. Have you seen Mint? Any thoughts? -- Cheers! Yeah, I really hate it not even beeing able find my mouse or keyboard right in front of the monitor when the room lights are off as usually. I mean this seriously! :) Also on cheap/old monitors black looks mostly broken. Thus a "black OS" may often look more ugly as a "bright OS".

I don't care much about particular colors but guess I liked the green ones most. cu, Rudi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

You're right. It's easy to lose the mouse with too much black. Especially when encountering a graphics problem. If they're going with black, it would look better to add some texture to the black. i.e. black shale And, add a gradient to the frame, titlebar, buttons and sunken scrollbar etc. -- Cheers! It's not the first time I see distro going black. The problem is when you go in "Themes", you have : black, or black :( . Or no themes :[ . It is not OpenSUSE 13.2 specific. -- : ` _..-=-=-=-.._.--. yes, every time I install it, fire up openbox, and set the background to black - I like black. ;-) Have a nice day, Berny -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

We have been using the same theme and wallpaper for the last two distro releases. It would be nice to see something different for 13.2. Yes. -- Cheers! Roman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Different, yes. But I hope we will have choice : Black, light, Redmond, MAC-OS style :) -- : ` _..-=-=-=-.._.--.
