This message occurs during last few updates, most recently less than an hour ago to kdm-4.6.0-6.1.i586. Startx starts KDE. Init 5 fails, putting "no user like 'kdm'" and 'Cannot execute "/usr/lib/kde4/libexec/kdm_greet" (greeter for display :0)' in /var/log messages. /usr/lib/kde4/libexec/kdm_greet -rwxr-xr-x exists. What's (not) going on?
