[opensuse-factory] firefox forgets papersize
Hi, is it just me, or does firefox forget the papersize every day or so? I am printing every second day or so and each time the papersize is set to letter again. Although I want it to be A4. Is is a bug, or what am I doing wrong? Anybody else having this issue? greetings Felix Möller --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Well, I don't print from the beta/ factory, but have you set RC_LC_PAPER in /etc/sysconfig/language to something A4-ish, e.g.: RC_LC_PAPER="de_DE.UTF-8" -- Mit freundlichen Gruessen, Andreas Vetter Fakultaet fuer Physik und Astronomie Universitaet Wuerzburg

It was set to "", but setting it did not help as far as I can see.
Looking at /sbin/conf.d/ it seems to be used just by SuSEconfig.groff.
/etc/papersize is a4.
But looking at mozilla/MozillaFirefox I found out that Firefox 2.0.0.14
is patched with cups-paper.patch which seems to get the papersize from cups:

Therefore CCing Wolfgang. ;)
Should this patch not be necessary anymore?
The thing is that the whole printing thing changed quite a bit now using Gnome's printing dialog and cairo to create postscript AFAICS. I haven't had time to dive into that for FF3 again and I'm not sure what already works and what not. That is somewhere on my todo list but currently not really high :-( Wolfgang --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
