[opensuse-factory] Where did Firefox 42.0 come from in a fresh Leap 42 install?
Hi, I've a fresh Leap42.1 install from the very first iso image and a few days ago Firefox started refusing to show any web pages, except build.opensuse.org ones. Distribution: (none) I've just this moment added Mozilla:Factory repo so ignore that one, it contains : MozillaFirefox-42.0-476.1 apart from that I've only pacman, repo-oss and update enabled. So where did MozillaFirefox-42.0 come from? I have to use opera atm. Sure? On my Leap system I get: zypper se -s MozillaFirefox ... i | MozillaFirefox | package | 42.0-3.5 | x86_64 | Main Update Repository BTW: Firefox is behaving completely normal on my system. Try the command:
rpm -q --qf "%{disturl}\n" MozillaFirefox It might give us some more clues.

Have you removed the official update repo? No I had : both repo-update and repo-update-non-oss enabled and zypper se didn't pick up firefox. I used yast to reinstall anything with mozilla in it's name from the leap image and then ran yast online update to get everything back to normal. Firefox works now but thunderbird still doesn't display newly downloaded messages. I was getting annoyed with Thunderbird and threads anyway so I've switched to kmail. Zypper verify gave an endless loop, which I've saved as a text file. The loop ended in : The following 7 applications are going to be REMOVED: Ark Dolphin hugin "Hugin batch processor" "Hugin calibrate lens" "Thunar File Manager" Thunderbird but nothing actually happened. rpm -Va found missing files from python-rdflib and forcing reinstallation with zypper hasn't corrected the problem. One problem that I've created myself is installing the upstream virtualbox 13.2 rpm over the openSUSE installation because I needed usb support but that doesn't coincide with the firefox/thunderbird problem. I need to clean up that mess first before I complain.
