[opensuse-factory] Resuming from suspend no longer works in TW
Hi! Since a few dist-upgrades, resuming from suspend no longer works with my Dell E7470 running Tumbleweed. Suspending the machine works fine by closing the lid, but once I try to resume the machine by opening the lid, the machine jumps back into EFI and starts the operating system like after a reboot. Anyone observed similar issues? Kernel is 5.5.5-1-default but I also tested the previous 5.4.x kernels with the same result. Hi Adrian, I have no such problems on my Dell XPS 13 or 5510.. one of which I accidentally left on suspend for the last 24 hours and just woke it up trying to test this for you Regards, -- Richard Brown Linux Distribution Engineer - Future Technology Team Phone +4991174053-361 SUSE Software Solutions Germany GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, D-90409 Nuernberg (HRB 36809, AG Nürnberg) Geschäftsführer: Felix Imendörffer -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I have the reverse (or similar) closing the lid does not finish a suspend, and when I get the laptop out of the bag after commuting it is hot :( I have not seen resume issues in the past months Linux 5.5.5-1-default [openSUSE Tumbleweed 20200226] HP ZBook 15G3 Core(TM) i7-6820HQ CPU @ 2.70GHz/2872(8 cores) x86_64 15925 Mb

I have recently experienced the same issue, starting with kernel 5.4.x and 5.5.5. For me it is working again with version 5.5.5-4.gbfcbf21-default from the kernel stable repo. Thanks. I'm testing 5.6.0-rc3-2.g3d21024-default now and will report back. Adrian -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
