[opensuse-factory] VPN access impossible since update
Hello, Since the Tumbleweed distro updated to KDE5, I cannot use my VPN connections anymore. I have tried both removing the password and setting networkmanager to ask it, but still the pop-up does not show up. It keeps for a while my connection as "Needs Authorization", but no pup up allows me to enter the password. If i enter the password and I ask networkmanager to save it, the outcome is the same. What kind of VPN connections are you using? I've been using OpenVPN with plasma-nm5 for a while without issues (I use certificates, though). Do you have kwalletd5 running? -- Luca Beltrame - KDE Forums team KDE Science supporter GPG key ID: 6E1A4E79 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Check if you still have plasma-nm-* packages installed on your machine: zypper se -si plasma-nm If so, replace them with the corresponding plasma-nm5 packages (when you install these the plasma-nm should be uninstalled automatically, I think). The new packages will then use kdewalletd5 rather than kdewalletd, so you need to migrate or re-enter all your credentials.
