[opensuse-factory] slow system reaction
Hey Group; What would be causing M5 to be very slow when removing a directory of old files and or coping those files. This is something new because it is the same process I have been using. -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email:" n5xwb@comcast.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " VoIP via Gizmo: bmw_87kbike / via Skype: n5xwbg BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Yes! Just say it is file/* and say it is a 1M file. If I do a "cp -R file/* /usr/lib/file" it acts like it take 15 seconds to return a #. It also happens with "rm". I looked a "top" and there are no zombies. On 04/18/2010 03:15 PM, Carlos E. R. wrote:

I don't think you understood my question. I ask if you are using the same filesystem before and now. Like in one reiser and in another ext4. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
