All I know is that the self compiled versions of xine works great with Frontline videos. I have self installed and linked to /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/ from /usr/lib/browser-plugins/Flashplayer 10.#. However, Firefox calls up Banshee-1 by default. I moved /usr/bin/banshee-1 to /tmp to get it working again with xine.
