Re: [opensuse-factory] Beta1, black vertical stripes during install
Actually, this bug covers it: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=426370 It's a bug in an optimized pixman path (SSE2) when doing simple alpha blending. Should be fixed in beta 2. --Aaron

During install there are black vertical stripes on the background making it hard to read. I searched Bugzilla and did not find anything relevant. Is this a known problem?
I noticed the same thing on a Dell D610 with ATI graphics and another system I pieced together with a Compaq (MSI board but it has the HP/Compaq BIOS) main board and ATI 690G graphics. I did not report a bug because I assume these are minor installer issues that have not been sorted out yet (it also says its the openSUSE 11.0 installer, and has the same graphics as such)
