[opensuse-factory] New icedtea6-1.7/openjdk-b17

Hi community, yesterday I've updated the java-1_6_0-openjdk to icedtea6-1.7/openjdk-b17. This contain also the alpha version of a new NPRuntime Java plugin for browsers using NPRuntime. That includes xulrunner 1.9.1 based browsers (Firefox 3.5, and probably Seamonkey 2) and Chromium. For xulrunner 1.9.2 based browsers (Firefox 3.6) it is only supported way. In a human speech - if you want to use Firefox 3.6 or Chromium browsers with openjdk plugin, please use openjdk packages from Java:openjdk6:Factory. Factory users can wait on next snapshot, or use this project too. Regards Michal Vyskocil

Yes, true for SeaMonkey 2 as well. As you said, Mozilla platform 1.9.1 supports both OJI and the new plugins, and anything higher than that only supports the NPAPI/NPRuntime plugins on Linux and Windows, as Sun has been providing that variant for some time now (since 1.6 IIRC), which made our people at Mozilla expect "everyone" to have it available. Good to see that IcedTea/OpenJDK does have it as well now.
