[opensuse-factory] Support for KDE3 removed from LibreOffice?
I have just installed 11.4 and Libre Office 3.3.1 uses GTK front-end under 11.4. With OpenOffice.org 3.2.1 under 11.3 all was OK. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I looked at the spec files, and according to them KDE 3 support is available but openSUSE is building without it for openSUSE versions after 11.1. So it has nothing to do with libreoffice removing features, it is a packaging decision by whoever is in charge of packaging libreoffice for openSUSE (it looks like Andi N Kleen was the one who did this). It also seems to be related to some bugs related to the KDE 3 file picker: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=605472 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=621472 -Todd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Indeed.

File picker is a separate issue, common to Libre Office and Open Office. Anyway it works well with internal Open/Libre Office file picker. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Oh please go and cry me a river about some anti KDE3 plot cause someone created some bug somewhere. Stating that there is a problem is fine but that attitude is just ridiculous and will surely help to get it fixed. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Yes, actually I was too hurry with the conclusions, the LibreOffice upstream still has KDE3 integration as I just tested (but no support for subpixel hinting). -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Yes, Stephan. You outrunned me by about several seconds with your letter. I just sent you a private message, concerning this issue. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

You are right. So the problem exists starting from 11.4. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
