[opensuse-factory] Weird versioning conflicts between Leap 15.1 and KDE:Frameworks5
Hi, could someone please compare the kcontacts packages in openSUSE:Leap:15.1 and KDE:Frameworks5, and explain the rationale behind the version numbers to me? 18.x indicated 2018. Then it moved to normal no-semantic numbers. Just like Windows 2000 went (eventually) to become Windows 7. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

kcontacts was moved from KDE applications (by upstream) to the Frameworks - and since they insist on 'consistent version numbers inside the module' (and not based on actual code) you get the version downgrade from 18.x (K:Apps) to 5.x (K Frameworks) This happened with: Sun Oct 6 14:21:37 UTC 2019 - Christophe Giboudeaux - Update to 5.63.0 * kcontacts is now a KDE framework. cheers, Dominique
