[opensuse-factory] Next week, next alpha
Hi! As not everyone might follow the recent changes of the wiki, I'd like to tell you quickly that we'll release next week's alpha to the public. I hope we can sort out all blockers till then. The factory tree looked ok to me this morning. But I hope to have a new sync with a fixed syslog-ng soonish - for the impatient ones I suggest http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/server:/syslog-ng/ Greetings, Stephan -- SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Next week's alpha? OK now I see the roadmap has been changed. When and where was this announced and why?

Well, next weeks alpha would normally have been an internal one. Due to the many issues with Alpha6, it's been decided to not keep the normally internal alpha from the public. So in essence, the roadmap have not really changed.

The roadmap is and was on http://en.opensuse.org/Roadmap/10.3 and the diff looks like - === Thu, Aug 2 openSUSE 10.3 Alpha6+ release ''(internal)'', crypto freeze + === Thu, Aug 2 openSUSE 10.3 Alpha7 release, crypto freeze === And the change was announced here.
