opensuse welcome app stuck

I've been having a problem with the opensuse-welcome app being annoying. It is stuck on the initial green openSUSE screen. So there is no checkbox or way to disable it. It starts on every login of course like it is supposed to and I have to close it. This is now happening on 2 different tumbleweed computers. My solution has been to uninstall it. Is there a fix for this? cheers John

$HOME/.config/autostart/ and $HOME/.config/autostart-scripts are empty directories here. I don't have a recollection of when the welcome dialog went empty but it was many months ago. I just figured it was a temporary oversight and would be fixed but none of the intervening updates has done anything. It's not that I need it because I can find anything about Suse I want to but new users might be put off if this happens on a new install. I haven't done a new install lately to see if it happens to a new install. On Sun, Feb 20, 2022 at 1:00 PM Bengt Gördén <bengan@bag.org> wrote:

Hello, I think the problem is that when Firefox is the default browser the Welcome application brakes, because it uses webkit.
