Re: [opensuse-factory] Blender 2.81 for Leap and Factory
Hi Pete, zypper dup -r home_fripete_blender and accepting change of repo to yours did the trick. Thanks a lot again! cheers, Jogchum -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

My pleasure! Allow me to give you an advise concerning your repo selection. You should try to reduce them to the bare minimum possible, even if that means, you get slightly older versions of things. E.g. Education, multimedia:{apps, libs} mostly resembles what's in TW as well, but less tested. I always aim to safely run a zypper dup at any time. If there're a few packages somewhere, that attract me, I tend to link/copy them into my own repos. Well, luckily, I control a private OBS instance, that builds, besides business things, the nvidia drivers and other problematic stuff.. Anyway, thanks to your list, I've switched my sons (more or less official) geogebra repo to home:concyclic:java as found in your list! More current, better packaged. Cool. ;-)
cheers, Jogchum

For all, that rely on home:frispete:blender, please do: zypper rm blender-281{,-cycles-devel} and then: zypper dup -r home_fripete_blender optionally: zypper in blender-280{,-lang,-cycles-devel} The next build will contain the necessary Provides and Conflicts, but I've built enough Blender versions for today, assured! <blender> is the 2.81 release now, with OIDN enabled, of course. <blender-280> is the older 2.80 release, formerly known as <blender>. <blender-git> is 2.82 alpha as of today, available for TW and Leaps (for the first time). @Stefan: funnily, your Python 3.6 compatibility patch revealed an unplugged memory leak, that you fixed en passant. In the course of rebasing your patch to 2.82 alpha, I stumbled across conflicting changes in Blender's git master. Digging deeper, I found: https://developer.blender.org/rB43eb34ec81fdf0479703a1c817b64a70dc93bbea Since 2.81 should last for a few month at least, I've applied this mutually exclusive to your patch at my 2.81 build. Will wait for the legal approval of OpenImageDenoise before submitting this to graphics, Factory and Leap.
