[opensuse-factory] X11-Xorg for factory is still at 1.9.3
Hi, xorg-x11-server in Factory is still at 1.9.3 release ; however latest stable release is in 1.10.x branch.... As feature freeze is 2 weeks away, and as an xorg update is not trivial, does that mean that openSUSE 12.1 will keep a 11 months old xorg server in november ? I'm encountering issue with obsolete GL_PROTO extension when trying to compile Mesa from master because of that. In case you didn't notice. 1.9.3 was featured in 11.4. I brought this subject up here well over a month ago, but don't remember what response I got, or even getting any response. Fedora 15 was released in May with 1.10.1, CentOS 6.0 last month with 1.10.3. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." In case you didn't notice. 1.9.3 was featured in 11.4. I brought this subject up here well over a month ago, but don't remember what response I got, or even getting any response. Fedora 15 was released in May with 1.10.1, CentOS 6.0 last month with 1.10.3.
Mandriva 2011 was just released with 1.10.3 (and KDE as only DTE). -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." An upgrade is indeed advisable. 11.4 doesn't support some Wacom tablets, as described in this thread ... http://forums.opensuse.org/forums/english/get-technical-help-here/hardware/4... ... and an upgrade of xf86-input-wacom fixed this for me. I assume a server upgrade fixes it as well. m. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

And there is also a bug in the synaptics driver xf68-input-synaptics 1.3.0 which could be fixed by installing version 1.4.1. The bug causes the touchpad to hang on for a while such that your pointer got stuck in one of the windows. I yet have to file a bug report, will that do later.
